Sacred Spaces: A Tour of 7 Mid-Century Modern Places of Worship

Join Gainesville Modern for an exciting tour of Mid-Century Modern Architecture at 7 area places of worship. The first of its kind, this tour will highlight architects Bob Broward, Gordonn Dirk, Jim McGinley, Albert Wynn Howell, Harry Merritt, Jack Moore and Lester May. One day only, March 25th from 10 am to 4 pm. There are two options for visiting the architect-designed buildings: a self-guided tour or a VIP bus tour. The self guided tour allows you to determine which properties you will visit, in what order and set your own pace. Information will be provided about each architect and space on-site. The VIP bus tour will start at 9:30 am. Space is limited. This tour is designed to introduce you and a number of fellow enthusiast to the architects and their beautiful designs. The VIP bus tour includes transportation, lunch and a ticket to the Drinks and Dwellings Party at a fantastic MCM private home, the evening of March 24th. Net proceeds of the tour will be split with Gainesville Modern and the 7 participating places of worship. Drinks and Dwellings Party tickets are also sold separately.
